Aloha from Kat and Christina!

As we look forward into the 2016-2017 year, it is our privilege to introduce Christina St. Amant as our President-Elect.

Christina and Kat Lin-Hurtubise, your current MPI Aloha Chapter President, will be working together to create a smooth, seamless transition between positions.

We are delighted to serve alongside our talented and engaged Board of Directors for 2016-2017. These incredible industry leaders bring their professionalism, innovative ideas and a wealth of experience to our chapter. Learn more about our current MPI Aloha Chapter Board of Directors here.

This year we’re excited to provide even more professional and personal enrichment opportunities by offering Continuing Education Units (CEU) sanctioned courses, networking events, captivating speakers and certification opportunities, both for new and re-certifications for CMP (Certified Meeting Planners.) We are also committed to exploring new technology that will offer more inclusion for our MPI members on the neighbor islands. We’re researching live video streaming solutions in order to provide everyone with an improved opportunity to connect and learn.

Plus, each event will have a satisfaction survey in order for us to bring you the most desired content. Our annual MPI Aloha Chapter Awards Gala will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa.

Our Gala celebrates you, our members, raises funds to provide continuing education and honors industry leaders. We are delighted to feature this year’s honorees:

  • Clifford ‘Naeole, Cultural Advisor at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, 2016 Cultural Award
  • David Evans, Department Chair Hospitality & Tourism Education Department Kapi‘olani CC, 2016 Distinguished Industry Leader Award
  • Lorrie Lum, 2016 Legacy Award

We are privileged to serve this upcoming year as your President and President-Elect. We take this opportunity to welcome you to the MPI Aloha Chapter. Please feel free to connect with us at any time.
